Due to the departure of Eddie Kingston, the tag-team titles were stripped from Drake Younger on July 10th. DJ then announced that there will be a tag team title tournament to crown new champions beginning in August. The 4 first round matches will take place in August and September. The winners of each matchup will move on to the semi-finals which will take place in October. At Cage of Death XII, the winners from October will vie for the titles.
