The War Began Inside the Cage of Death

It was just a few weeks ago that the Combat Zone witnessed “The Ego” Robert Anthony put Scotty Vortekz through one of the glass walls of the Cage of Death with a running powerbomb. It was from that moment that Vortekz began his war with Robert Anthony that will continue at Super Saturday when CZW returns to Indianapolis!

At the start of 2011, Robert Anthony and Scotty Vortekz had their eyes set on becoming the new face of CZW. Vortekz spent most of 2011 at war with Drake Younger. At the end of that war, Vortekz cemented himself as a main event star in the Combat Zone and earned himself the right to challenge for the CZW World Championship inside the Cage of Death. However, it was at Night of Infamy where Anthony returned from his career threatening injury and changed the landscape of the Cage of Death. Some onlookers claim that if Anthony never returned at Night of Infamy, Cage of Death 13 would have simply pitted Vortekz against Devon Moore and Vortekz could very well be the current champion. Obviously that is not the case, and now the battle lines have been drawn.
