The Top 10 of CZW - October, 2011
Friday, October 21, 2011 @ 06:06pm EDT

Each month, the staff at CZWrestling.com has been ranking the wrestlers of CZW based on their win-loss record, their place on the card, the crowd reaction they receive, any titles won or lost, and other intangible qualities that made that wrestler stick out from the pack.  Since its inception, this list has proved to be controversial; surely it will be very much the same this month.  Please remember, this list is not the official standings controlled by CZW Management.  Without further a due, this is the Top 10 of CZW for October, 2011.

CHAMPION – Devon Moore – Devon Moore has remained champion for SEVEN long months and there seems to be no stopping him.  Moore has been on THREE different continents in as many weeks.  In England, he won the Bound To Violence Tournament as part of Project Mayhem.  In Germany, he battled with his friend, Danny Havoc, in a Drunken Scaffold match that will be released on HybridENT.tv very soon.  Back home in the US, he successfully defended the World Championship against “The People’s Choice” AR Fox.  Moore is now wrapping up his world tour in Japan where reports are saying that Moore is amazing the crowds of Big Japan every night!  Can anyone stop Devon Moore?

#1 – (1) – Adam Cole – (2) – Sami Callihan – Adam Cole and Sami Callihan have been exchanging the top two spots of this list since its inception.  Now both men share the top spot of this list going into their battle on November 12th at Night of Infamy.  The staff here at CZWrestling.com was split on who should get this top spot due to what happened at Cerebral.  The Cole supporters felt that Callihan just got a fluke victory, and will end up blowing his huge opportunity at Night of Infamy.  Whereas the Callihan supporters felt that it was simply a preview of what’s to come on November 12th.  When this list is compiled next month there will surely be only one at the top of this list!

#2 – (3) – MASADA – Can anyone stop the Ultraviolent Beast?  It has been well documented and reported that MASADA has been on a roll since the start of the Summer of Ultraviolence.  MASADA has won Tournament of Death X , the UVU Championship, and successfully defended the championship against BJW’s Ryuji Ito.  Now MASADA plans to cap off the year by becoming CZW World Champion at Night of Infamy November 12th, but first he must survive Barbed Wire Madness at Déjà Vu on November 5th.

#3 – (5) – Jake Crist – Another man that has been on a roll since the summer is Jake Crist.  Crist has been leading the “Most Exciting Division In All Wrestling” since New Heights back in July.  Ironically, Crist isn’t known as a singles competitor, he’s known as a tag team wrestler with his brother, Dave Crist.  Expect Jake Crist to possibly take the top spot next month as he will team with his brother as Irish Airbourne for the first time in CZW when the Combat Zone makes its return to Indianapolis on November 5th.

#4 – (4) – BLK Jeez – BLK Jeez and his partner, Joker, have been demanding a “real” challenge and the staff here at CZWrestling.com is starting to agree.  But its not for the same reasons as Joker and Jeez have been citing…  The staff would love for a team to step up to shut the mouths of Philly’s Most Wanted, if it so happens to be Eddie Kingston and Homicide we will be ecstatic!  Right now, everyone just hopes Azrieal and Bandido Jr. finally get redemption and take the titles away from Philly’s Most Wanted.  But right now, Philly’s Most Wanted rides high in the number four and five spots as the current reigning CZW Tag Team Champions.

#5 – (7) – Joker – See BLK Jeez.

#6 – (9) – Mr. Tofiga – This man is simply the definition of dominance.  Tofiga once again showed what a force he is in the ring when he destroyed Kit Osbourne at Cerebral.  Just imagine what will happen on November 12th at Night of Infamy when Danny Havoc and the Nation of Intoxication is under the same roof as Drew Gulak and his campaign for the first time since Down With The Sickness.

#7 – (-) – Greg Excellent – Greg Excellent should be an inspiration to every working man who would love to make their boss’ life a living hell.  Excellent hasn’t let the nepotism that has been running rampant prevent him from becoming one of the top competitors in the Combat Zone.  After the Tag Team Match with Sami Callihan he gets to turn the table on DJ Hyde and gets to choose the stipulation for their match at Cage of Death 13.  Cage of Death may be the night that cements Excellent’s place in history by taking out the owner of the company!

#8 – (6) – Scotty Vortekz – Scotty Vortekz remains on this list despite being out on injury since Tangled Web 4.  That should show how much Vorktekz has impressed the Top Ten committee at Tangled Web 4.  Vortekz should rebound next month when he makes his return to the Combat Zone at Déjà Vu on November 5th.

#9 – (8) – Matt Tremont – For the first time since Tournament of Death X, the Bulldozer has been proven human.  It took the “Ultraviolent Terminator” Brain Damage to stop the newcomer.  Tremont hasn’t lost that much steam just yet and he gets to prove himself in his next test when faces three of the top Ultraviolent talents in the world in Barbed Wire Madness at Déjà Vu on November 5th.

#10 – (-) – AR Fox – The People’s Choice has returned to the Combat Zone and has made a big splash by challenging Devon Moore for the World Championship at Cerebral.  Although unsuccessful in his attempt, Fox has show tremendous growth since debuting with CZW over a year ago and has impressed officials enough to been seen as a top talent here in CZW.  AR Fox now has his sights set on the Junior Heavyweight Championship which he could be challenging for in a few short months should he be successful in the #1 Contenders’ Tournament.

Honorable Mention – (-) – Azrieal & Bandido Jr. – This month honorable mention goes to the #1 Contenders for the Tag Team Championships.  Azrieal and Bandido Jr. earned the right to challenge for the Tag Team Championships at Tangled Web 4 and are poised to take the titles away from Philly’s Most Wanted at Night of Infamy on November 12th.  With the roll they’ve been on combined with the fact that Philly’s Most Wanted demanding matches with other teams not under CZW Contract, their dreams definitely could become a reality

So that is the Top Ten List for October, 2011.  Tell us what you think about the Top 10 List at our Official Facebook account.  You can even text us your thoughts via our Text Messaging Service!  Be sure to come back every month to see how the Top 10 List fleshes itself out, as next month there are surely going to be changes caused by the fallout of Déjà Vu on Saturday November 5th in Indianapolis and  Night of Infamy on Saturday November 12th back at the Asylum Arena.
