The Top 10 of CZW - November, 2011
Monday, November 21, 2011 @ 09:55am EST

Each month, the staff at CZWrestling.com has been ranking the wrestlers of CZW based on their win-loss record, their place on the card, the crowd reaction they receive, any titles won or lost, and other intangible qualities that made that wrestler stick out from the pack.  Since its inception, this list has proved to be controversial; surely it will be very much the same this month.  This month added to the list are the stars of CZW that have fallen from the list and the reason given.  Please remember, this list is not the official standings controlled by CZW Management.  Without further a due, this is the Top 10 of CZW for November, 2011.

CHAMPION – Devon Moore – You can call him the “Teflon Champion” because despite the odds, Moore always comes out as champion.  After returning from a very successful tour of Japan, Moore successfully defended the World Championship in a 3 Way Dance against the returning Drake Younger and Scotty Vortekz.  At Night of Infamy Devon Moore’s reign came close to ending at the hands of MASADA.  But again, Moore walked out of the event STILL CZW World Heavyweight Champion!  But has Moore bitten off more than he can chew when he defends the Championship inside the Cage of Death? …  The match Devon Moore has made famous on multiple occasions!

#1 – (1) – Sami Callihan – Patience has paid off for the ill-tempered Callihan Death Machine.  After months of road blocks, Sami Callihan finally defeated Adam Cole to become the CZW World Junior Heavyweight Championship at Night of Infamy.  Thanks to that win, Callihan now sits solely a top this month’s Top Ten List.

#2 – (2) – MASADA – The Ultraviolent Beast has been unleashed and there may be no stopping him!  MASADA defeated three of today’s top Ultraviolent Athletes at Déjà Vu.  Some believe Night of Infamy was MASADA’s night to become the King of the Ultraviolent Mountain by defeating Devon Moore for the World Championship.  However, he and the Combat Zone were robbed of a finish to the World Championship match when Robert Anthony emerged from the darkness to stake his claim for the World Championship!  But the biggest night of the year could now end with MASADA standing atop the Cage of Death with both the World and Ultraviolent Underground Championships!

#3 – (8) – Scotty Vortekz – Vortekz has skyrocketed to the top of this list upon his return at Déjà Vu.  Despite losing to Devon Moore in his return, he still believed that he deserved another shot at the World Championship.  Moore and the Combat Zone agreed…  However, now that match will feature MASADA, Robert Anthony, and the Cage of Death!  Even though this has been the year of MASADA, you cannot count out Vortekz as he has competed and been on the winning side of both Cage of Death 12 and Tangled Web 4…  Vortekz is a biggest match player!

#4 – (-) – “The Ego” Robert Anthony – Like him or not, you cannot deny the talent of Robert Anthony.  Many believe that if it weren’t for his leg injury he suffered a few months ago he would be World Champion right now.  Despite just returning from injury, Anthony truly made an impact at Night of Infamy when he became the first man to prevent MASADA from winning.  That fact alone speaks volumes of “The Ego.”  However, is Robert Anthony prepared for the Most Ultraviolent Match in the History of Wrestling?

#5 – (1) – Adam Cole – When it rains, it pours…  Adam Cole not only dropped FOUR spots this month, but he also is championship-less for the first time in over 18 months!  If Adam Cole did not resort to underhand tactics and just lost the match like a man, Cole probably would have just been #2 this month.  But Cole petrified of losing his championship, took out referees, brought in DJ Hyde, and even brought in Mia Yim!  After the smoke cleared, all of his attempts were for not and he is no longer a champion.

#6 – (10) – AR Fox – After a minor hiccup a few months ago losing the Wired TV Championship to Jake Crist, AR Fox is back on the move in the Combat Zone.  After winning the single elimination tournament, AR Fox will now challenge Sami Callihan at Cage of Death 13 for the Junior Heavyweight Championship!  Can Fox continue his success on December 3rd?

#7 – (7) – Greg Excellent – Excellent continued to be a thorn in the side of DJ Hyde this month when he defeated Mia Yim in a special intergender match the only way he knew how…  By being Greg Excellent!  It took a striptease and a Tiger Driver to put away the “Blasian Sensation.”  Now all his attention is on DJ Hyde and Cage of Death, where he gets to choose the stipulation for his match!  Just what hyjinx will the “Pride of Rosco’s Chicken N Waffles” have in store for the Owner of the Combat Zone, DJ Hyde, on December 3rd on iPPV?

#8 – (5) – Jake Crist – Jake Crist is starting to cool down thanks to his brother, Dave.  It was at Déjà Vu where his brother’s jealousy finally got the best of him and walked out of their match.  Then to make matters worse, DJ Hyde brutally attacked the Wired TV Champion upon granting him a match with Dave Crist at Cage of Death 13.  Could this be the beginning of the end for Crist’s Wired TV Title reign?

#9 – (9) – Matt Tremont – “The Bulldozer” is beginning to realize things won’t be easy for him in CZW.  Despite knocking out the Deathmatch Legend Necro Butcher, Tremont fell victim to MASADA at Déjà Vu.  However, Tremont’s saving grace is his heart to become the new “MAN” in CZW.  Tremont has proven that he fears NO ONE, not even the Owner!  However, his next trial maybe his toughest as he will compete in a yet-to-be-named Ultraviolent Match at Cage of Death 13 against The Nation of Intoxication’s Danny Havoc!

#10 – (HM) – Azrieal & Bandido Jr. – Third time was a charm for this duo as the finally defeated Philly’s Most Wanted and became CZW World Tag Team Champions!  The Combat Zone rejoiced when these two men, with some assistance from the returning Homicide, finally shut the mouths of BLK Jeez and Joker.  It is now there time to shine as the top tag team in CZW!

Honorable Mention – (-) – Mia Yim – Most find her annoying or attractive but a little slutty…  The Top Ten Committee saw her as IMPRESSIVE.  Many were shocked to find out that he openly agreed to compete in a match against Greg Excellent…  More were even more shocked to watch her practically make Excellent tap out.  Sure, many don’t like her attitude…  But you can’t deny you were impressed with what she did at Night of Infamy.  Too bad she fell victim to the seduction of Greg Excellent!

Dropped Off The List:

(4 & 5) – Philly’s Most Wanted – This drop of the list was too much of the pleasure of the Top Ten Committee.  It was commented on for the last few months that Philly’s Most Wanted’s focus was not on their challengers and that it could spell the end of their title reign.  That is exactly what happened at Night of Infamy!  Had BLK Jeez and Joker remained focused on the task at hand their drop this month wouldn’t have been as significant.

(6) – Mr. Tofiga – Mr. Tofiga is a force that isn’t to be taken lightly.  However, Tofiga finds himself off the Top Ten list this month because of the loss the Drew Gulak’s Campaign to The Nation of Intoxication.  But with Cage of Death 13 coming up in just two short weeks, Tofiga can make a name for himself LIVE on iPPV!

So that is the Top Ten List for November, 2011.  Tell us what you think about the Top 10 List at our Official Facebook account.  You can even text us your thoughts via our Text Messaging Service!  Be sure to come back every month to see how the Top 10 List fleshes itself out, as next month there are surely going to be changes caused by the fallout of the biggest event of the year, Cage of Death 13, on Saturday Night December 3rd LIVE on iPPV at HybridENT.tv from the Asylum Arena in South Philadelphia.
