The Top 10 of CZW - June, 2012
Wednesday, June 27, 2012 @ 07:57pm EDT

Each month, the staff at has been ranking the wrestlers of CZW based on their win-loss record, their place on the card, the crowd reaction they receive, any titles won or lost, and other intangible qualities that made that wrestler stick out from the pack.  Since its inception, this list has proved to be controversial; surely it will be very much the same this month.  Please remember, this list is not the official standings controlled by CZW Management.  Without further a due, this is the Top 10 of CZW for June, 2012.

CHAMPION – MASADA – For the first time at Tournament of Death XI, we saw the human side of MASADA as he was not clear to compete by local EMTs.  After DJ Hyde allowed the Final contest go on unsanctioned, MASADA chose to compete…  Not only did he choose to compete, he became the only man in the history of CZW to REPEAT as Tournament of Death Champion!  The question must be asked AGAIN, can MASADA be beaten?

#1 – (2) – Drake Younger – Younger doesn’t care what style the match is, what the stipulations are, or even how many matches he has to compete in the course of a day…  All he cares about is competing at the peak of his abilities and winning!  With the exception of the finals of Tournament of Death XI, that is exactly what Younger has been doing since winning the CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship.  Can he keep it up on July 14th when he defends the Championship against Sami Callihan in a 60 Minute Iron Man Match on

#2 – (2) – Sami Callihan – Many believe Callihan should top the list.  He has all the tools to do so.  In less than one month’s time Callihan could very well be at the top of this list.  Callihan has proven to be able to win when the matches go into “extra innings.”  The Iron Man Match is a match designed to see who can “go” the longest.  That is what he will have to do to win the CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship again on July 14th at New Heights.

#3 – (4) – Dave Crist – Dave Crist is proving himself to be the most conniving wrestler on the CZW Roster today.  First he convinced the owner, DJ Hyde, to take out his brother.  He then convinced Hyde to hire Navaeh, Jake Crist’s wife, to a CZW contract.  We assume that he then finally convinced her to attack her own husband, Jake Crist!  Crist is the puppet master keeping himself high on the list right now…  However, it only takes one mistake for his scheme to collapse on itself!

#4 – (5) – AR Fox – He’s the man with the golden ticket…  He’s also the man who has proven he can hang with the best of them.  The question remains, what championship will he challenge for…  And when will he do it?

#5 – (3) – Danny Havoc – It was only one month ago that Havoc was be praised for “saving” deathmatch wrestling…  Now Havoc has dropped on this list because of his checkered recorded in the month of June.  Some believe that if it weren’t for his Drunken Scaffold Match against the rest of the Nation of Intoxication, he would be the 11th Tournament of Death Champion.

#6 – (6) – Greg Excellent – Excellent stays put at number six, however he remains in an “excellent” position.  The lovable grappler must have plans in his mind as he recently commented on Facebook that he still has two wishes left…  Hmmm…

#7 – (9) – Matt Tremont – Tremont moves up the list…  However, not was far as many originally projected thanks to the interference from DJ Hyde.  Tremont is truly a legit contender in the Combat Zone after proving he could hang with BJW Deathmatch Champion, Abdullah Kobayashi.

#8 – (8) – Alex Colon – The leader of 4Loko remains in the eighth spot this month after failing to defeat AR Fox at Prelude to Violence.  However, Colon is ready to get back on his horse when the Combat Zone returns to iPPV at on July 14th.

#9 – (10) – Dustin Rayz – Rayz continues to be dominating upon his return from injury.  Rayz continues to take men out with steel rod leg!  Championship gold could very well be in his future if he continues on this path.

#10 – (-) – DJ Hyde – The owner of the Combat Zone returns to the Top Ten list after defeated Jake Crist in the main event of Prelude to Violence.  Of course, many will argue that he shouldn’t be on this list due to his refusal to fight “The Bulldozer” Matt Tremont.

Honorable Mention – (-) Abdullah Kobayashi – How can you not put this man on the Top Ten List.  Kobayashi is our honorable mention this month after his stellar showing at Tournament of Death XI.  He has won the hearts of the normally cold hearted CZW audience after only two showings in CZW.  But after each showing, the CZW faithful demand that the BJW Deathmatch Champion “Please Come Back!”  We, like the fans, hope that Kobayashi doesn’t spend too much time away from America!
Dropped Off The List:
(7) – Adam Cole – Cole drops off the list after failing to become the number one contender for the CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship at Prelude to Violence.  We don’t expect Cole to be off this list for too long.
Watch Out For:
Joe Gacy – “The Chainsaw” is the newest Horror Monster in the Combat Zone!  After decimating his former friend, Ryan Slater, Gacy showed the world that he is ready to conquer the wrestling world ALONE!  We believe him!  The Combat Zone should definitely be on the look out as Gacy sets out on his own path.
