The theme for May 14th’s event should be quite obvious by now, it is a night where all the stars of the Combat Zone will gather to prove their worth going into the future. It’s anyone’s chance to become the face of the future of CZW. For two men, it is their chance to move closer towards earning a CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship match. On My 14th, Jake Crist returns to the Combat Zone to take on the resident Irishman, Ryan McBride.
Ryan McBride has been one of the corner stones of the CZW Junior Heavyweight Division for the last few years. Unfortunately for one half of Irish Driveby, every CZW accomplishment has eluded him. Most recently, McBride failed to qualify for Best of the Best X. McBride is most definitely feeling the pressure as he almost went to blows with his friend and tag team, Rich Swann. Proving Grounds would be his shot to get closer to finally winning a CZW Championship.
McBride has a huge task ahead as he takes on fellow Irishman, Jake Crist. Crist earned himself a spot on the CZW Roster having wowed the audience at both Best of the Best X and International Incident last month. He now steps back into the Combat Zone with one goal in mind, the CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship. Jake Crist has nothing to lose in his upcoming encounter with McBride, but everything to gain.
