It was announced earlier this evening via the CZW Newsletter that Drew Gulak has officially accepted the challenge of The Bulldozer Matt Tremont for a match at An Excellent Adventure on January 14th. This all stems from the actions of the Gulak Campaign for a Better Combat Zone at Cage of Death 13.
It was at Cage of Death 13 where Matt Tremont got to live out his dream of competing at Cage of Death. The crowd on hand was happy to see one of their own finally make it in the Combat Zone. Just as the crowd though that Tremont was going to be able to do the seemingly impossible and defeat the Deathmatch Drunkard, Danny Havoc… Drew Gulak and his campaign came running in to assault Havoc. Gulak demanded that Tremont pin Havoc, however Tremont refused to win his first match at a Cage of Death event in such a cowardly way. Mr. Tofiga then clothesline Tremont for his disobedience and in the end Tremont inadvertently pinned Danny Havoc to win the match. Almost immediately following the match, Tremont demanded that he get a match with Drew Gulak. Tremont has since promised to plant his injured foot where Gulak would never be able to pull it out.
With the future of the Combat Zone inside the legendary Asylum Arena uncertain, could this the opening Gulak and his campaign have been waiting for to finally “change” CZW?
