As CZW counts down the days until the 11th annual Tournament of Death, we here at CZWrestling.com have decided to give you the inside scoop on the nine competitors. Next on the list is second coming of “Sick” Nick Mondo… Rory Mondo.
It was not all that long ago you could watch a CZW DVD or even VHS release and you could see a future star in the crowd. For years, Rory Mondo would be seen at almost every CZW event dressed as his favorite Ultraviolent Athlete, “Sick” Nick Mondo. Rory Mondo earned the name Little Mondo and became somewhat of a mascot for the legendary CZW competitor. Fast forward a few years, that same “boy” became a “man” before the eyes of the CZW audience.
Over the last year Mondo has come into his own as a deathmatch wrestler. Mondo dropped the “Little” moniker and mixed his birth name with the name of the CZW legend. Early on in the year, Mondo was known to have a “big head” after returning from his tour of Big Japan Wrestling. But after proving himself to fellow Tournament of Death competitors, Danny Havoc and Drake Younger, Mondo has been welcomed into the brotherhood. After the chaotic year for Mondo, he wants nothing more than to become Tournament of Death XI champion.
