It was released three weeks ago that El Generico would be returning to the Combat Zone to challenge MASADA for the CZW World Championship at Down With the Sickness. Since some time has passed since the Generic Luchadore has competed in a CZW Ring, CZWrestling.com has done some research to re-introduce you to the Pride of Tijuana.
The following is the official biography courtesy of ElGenerico.net:
EL GENERICO is a professional wrestler from Tijuana, Mexico.
There is much mystery surrounding his origins and the early part of his life, though it has been determined that his pro wrestling debut was made in Montreal, Canada in March 2002.
How he ended up there remains unclear. Geographical and historical uncertainties aside, his development as a pro wrestler has been for the world to see over the past decade. After establishing himself in the Quebec region in the first two years of his career, most notably with the IWS promotion based out of Montreal, he made his debut in the US in September 2004.
Generico quickly made a name for himself in the US as well, and began working for notable Independent promotions like CZW, JAPW, IWA:MS, and of course PWG and ROH, the two promotions he would end up calling home for years to come. His work in these promotions garnered attention overseas as well, as Generico soon made his European debut in March 2005.
Since that time, The Generic Luchador has continued to rise within the ranks of pro wrestling. He has made his name not only as one of the premier Independent Pro Wrestlers on the scene, but also as an International Wrestling Sensation, having wrestled in 28 countries, and captured multiple championships and accolades along the way. He currently resides in Montreal, though he frequently returns to Tijuana for his responsibilities in his 'Los Angelitos de El Generico' foundation for oprhans.
El Generico continues his travels as an independent professional wrestler honing his craft.
