Over the last few weeks as we countdown the days to the 11th Best of the Best Tournament, we at CZWrestling.com has been introducing, or in some cases, re-introducing you to this year’s competitors. Today’s “Tale of the Tape” will re-introduce you to the man who plans to bring BLK OUT it’s fourth Best of the Best trophy, Alex Colon.
Alex Colon was one match away from qualifying for Best of the Best X last year. After failing to qualify, Colon made it his mission to win this year’s Best of the Best. The way things are looking for Colon, that mission could very well be accomplished.
Just a few weeks after failing to qualify for Best of the Best X, Alex Colon was personally invited by Robbie Mireno, Chrissy Rivera, and former Best of the Best winner, Ruckus to join the re-launch of BLK OUT. Since that moment, Colon’s young career quickly went on the rise. He, along with Ruckus, has taken the Tag Team Division by storm coming ever so close to winning the World Tag Team Championships.
Despite primarily focusing on the Tag Team Championships, Colon hasn’t wavered in his vision on becoming Best of the Best. Alex Colon was actually one of two men in the tournament that were not given an invitation into the tournament. Colon had to qualify for the tournament by defeating Aaron McCormick at Super Saturday in Indianapolis.
Alex Colon could very well be the dark house in this year’s tournament. But that will have to be seen in six days when CZW returns to the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ as well as returns to LIVE iPPV on HybridENT.tv!
CZWrestling.com has done further research on Alex Colon further and has compiled this list of accomplishments:
Height: 5 ft 7 in Weight: 175 lbs. Born: November 18, 1984 (age 27) From: The 609 Affiliation: BLK OUT Trained By: DJ Hyde and Jon Dahmer Debut: 2007
