First off, Hyzaya will now make his return to the Combat Zone to take on Alex Colon in one on one action. Secondly, The Latin Dragon has now been announced to take on Ryan McBride in the single elimination #1 Contender’s Tournament for a chance to compete for the CZW World Junior Heavyweight Championship at a future Combat Zone Wrestling event.
Who exactly sparked all these changes? Dustin Rayz. Originally, Rayz was to be competing against Ryan McBride in the Tournament match. However, Rayz has been obsessed with the Crist Brothers since being defeated by Jake Crist. It has been documented that Rayz is a childhood friend of the brothers, however since debuting in the Combat Zone Rayz has felt slighted by his friends. He’s felt, and possibly rightfully so in the case of Dave Crist, that their fame has possibly gone to their heads. After suffering another controversial loss against Dave Crist as Cerebral he feels as though the only fair fight he has with the brothers is a tag team contest. Over the weekend, Dustin Rayz demanded to CZW Officials that he and his partner, Ricky Page, be the first men to take on Irish Airborne in the Combat Zone.
