As you may or may not be aware, for
the first time in many years, CZW returns to the Garden State on Sunday
afternoon, April 10th presenting "International Incident". Not
only is this an important date for the Combat Zone, it's an especially
important date for one man. Sunday, April 10th marks one year to the
day that DREW GULAK defeated TY HAGEN for the CZW Wired Television Championship at last year's "Swinging For The Fences"
live event. While it is no secret that I'm not Drew's biggest fan (see
http://www.czwrestling.com/news.php/a_matter_of_respect.html), I will give credit where
credit is due.
Ever since defeating Hagen for the championship,
Drew has defended the belt in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and even
Germany. Not one to back down from a challenge, he has defeated the
likes of Jonathan Gresham, Rich Swann, Ryan McBride, Nick Gage, & Danny Havoc
among others to retain the championship, albeit through questionable
methods. A wrestling purist, Drew has adopted a "You Can't Do That on
Television" mentality, not allowing his opponents to get ultraviolent in
matches & ultimately leaving your thirst for blood unquenched.
With his personal title belt transporter & manager of former world
champions, "FULL PRICE" DEWEY DONOVAN now watching his back, it may seem impossible to beat Drew for the championship.
One man is determined to try. One of our international partners, wXw, has informed CZW Management that they are sending a representative to the Combat Zone with the intention of winning both "Best of the Best X"
as well as the Wired TV Title & taking both the trophy and the
championship across the Atlantic to Germany. Having been the man to
unify the wXw World Lightweight & World Heavyweight Championships to
become the first wXw Unified World Champion, ZACK SABRE JR is considered by many to be Gulak's toughest challenge to date.
When
CZW makes its long awaited return to New Jersey at the ACE Arena on
Sunday, April 10th, those in attendance will witness a true wrestling
clinic. Will the reign of Drew Gulak surpass the one year mark, or will
an international sensation bring yet another of CZW's titles overseas?
Tickets for International Incident, part of two huge double headers
taking place during "Best of the Best X" Weekend are on sale now in the CZW Pro Shop. Don't delay...order your tickets NOW!!!
