OPEN CHALLENGE!

Not knowing your opponent. It's one of the toughest matches to prepare yourself for. Nonetheless, that's what has been issued by the current reigning CZW World Jr. Heavyweight Champion, ADAM COLE. The challenge has been issued to ANY former competitor that's held championship gold in the Combat Zone. And what better place than a show where CZW alumni have been known to make an appearance...the Chri$ Ca$h Memorial Show.

Long time fans of CZW know the open challenge can lead to matches that shake up the Combat Zone. A prime example would be January 12, 2002. Reigning CZW World Heavyweight Champion Justice Pain issued an open challenge for anyone to face him for the title. Nobody anticipated former XPW competitor The Messiah to answer the challenge. Though Pain retained the championship, his arrogance nearly cost him the coveted prize.

The arrogance of Adam Cole could be leading him down a similar path. It's no secret that there are many out there who want a piece of Cole due to his allegiance with the boss, tainted victory at "Best of the Best X", and the blatant disrespect of both the CZW fans & locker room alike. Coincidentally enough, Cole is making his return to CZW when SAMI CALLIHAN, the man he robbed of being this year's Best of the Best, will not be in action. As much as I try to remain neutral on matters as it relates to CZW, I'm personally hoping that whoever answers the challenge puts this chickenshit in his place.

So who will step up to the plate? Will it be a current member of the CZW roster who has held gold? Will it be a blast from the past? Will it be more than one competitor?
