We are almost a month removed from CAGE OF DEATH XII and the events of one of the night's most heinous acts continue to replay themselves in my mind. Standing in the ring were the lovely KYLIE PIERCE, GREG EXCELLENT, and MOMMA EXCELLENT. Greg was essentially apologizing to the CZW fans and management for not "stepping up to the plate" or "being good enough" in 2010. His last apology was to his mother. And then, the unthinkable happened. In front of a sold out audience, Greg grabbed HIS OWN MOTHER & delivered the Tiger Driver to her right in the middle of the ring.I'll say it again. Greg Excellent delivered the Tiger Driver...TO HIS OWN MOTHER!!!
While Greg's actions are deplorable, the fact is, people SHOULD NOT be surprised. For months now, Greg has been working to prove himself to CZW management and to the fans. When our boss, DJ HYDE, was being attacked by THE SWITCHBLADE CONSPIRACY, Greg Excellent was the one who was HELPING the boss in matches at TOURNAMENT OF DEATH 9 & TANGLED WEB 3. To further try and prove himself, Greg went as far as to call out NICK GAGE to prove he was in fact a contender in the Combat Zone. How was Greg rewarded for showing initiative and bleeding black & yellow? He was placed lower and lower on the cards of our events and was even bumped off in favor of some no name kid at NIGHT OF INFAMY 9: BETRAYAL. Men who are desperate for attention will often do the unthinkable in order to get it; look no further than Mark David Chapman shooting John Lennon.
I attempted to contact Greg in hopes that he would shed some light on the situation. All calls were met with Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up". I was able to reach Kylie Pierce and she sounded absolutely distraught. Ms. Pierce had this to say.
"I have no idea what is going through his head these days and it scares me. If he is capable of doing that to his mother, I can't imagine what he's going to do next..."
The CZW fans and CZW management have been put on notice. All attention is now on Greg Excellent. We have all seen that Greg is capable of driving his own mother's skull into the canvas. If he is capable of this, one has to wonder what Greg has in store for the Combat Zone this Friday, January 7th in Philadelphia and just how far Greg will go if he begins to feel those eyes turning away.
