When the staff of CZWrestling.com heard about the Indie Summit taking place prior to Cage of Death 13 on December 3rd, everyone got excited. Surely the fans of CZW across the world felt the same way about that announcement. When many heard about the event, many felt that they would see the best talent Japan has to offer. It just so happens that one of those talents is a VERY familiar face in the Combat Zone. So familiar that he recently competed in the Combat Zone as part of CZW’s European Tour. That man’s name is Yoshihito Sasaki.
Possessing high school wrestling experience, Sasaki entered Animal Hamaguchi's dojo. He joined the now defunct FMW upon graduating high school and debuted at the young age of eighteen years. Sasaki is one of the 3 trainees who debuted on September 7th, 2000 in FMW. Yoshihito Sasaki faced famous Japanese porno actor and FMW wrestler, Choco Ball Mukai, in his debut match. After the collapse of the promotion, Sasaki moved to ZERO-1, where he slowly climbed the rankings until 2007, when he became one of the top names of the company by winning its main singles title. Having been trained by Animal Hamaguchi, Masato Tanaka, and Ryuichi Takaiwa, he has been a forceful free agent wrestler and captured the BJW Tag Team crown with partner Daisuke Sekimoto to become the 23rd team to hold the title.
