CZWrestling.com has been able to confirm another match for November 10th’s Night of Infamy event. Kimber Lee will rejoin the Campaign to take on Greg Excellent in a match for equality.
Over the later half of 2011 and early 2012 while Drew Gulak battled Danny Havoc, Mia Yim became a break out star. For the first time in many years, many people were leaving CZW events talking about how a woman (Mia Yim) proudly and impressively stood toe-to-toe with a man (Greg Excellent). Yim went from being one of the most hated individuals in all of CZW, to the most respected wrestler to ever step foot in a CZW Ring. Many mark the Aerial Assault event in March as the day women became equals in the Combat Zone. This is because Mia Yim defeated Greg Excellent in one of the most brutal intergender bouts ever seen in a CZW Ring.
For the better part of two years now, Drew Gulak has been campaigning for a “Better Combat Zone.” As part of his campaign, Gulak recently enlisted the services of Kimber Lee in hopes of giving women equality among the ranks of CZW. Although many will agree with Gulak’s stance that females should be given an equal shot in the Combat Zone, many feel that Gulak’s new platform is more of a flavor of the month given the recent successes of Mia Yim.
