As those of you in attendance this past weekend at "Cage of Death XIII" saw, DUSTIN RAYZ
was seriously injured during the 6 man scramble match. X-Rays have
shown that Dustin fractured his femur. Dustin spoke with us & posted
his prognosis on his Facebook page:
"First
I want to say THANK YOU for the overwhelming response I received from
everyone, especially my brothers & sisters in the wrestling business,
as well the staff and management of CZW! If not for you I feel that I
would be in a worse condition physically and mentally!
Once I arrived at Jefferson Hospital, they drilled a rod straight through the side of my knee & attached a weight and pulley to it so as to stretch the leg (while I
was STILL conscious). I went into surgery Sunday morning to repair my
shattered femur with a 17" rod screwed to my leg.
When asked
about recovery & how long before I could step in the ring again, I
was told anywhere from 6 to 8 months before I could begin to WALK
NORMALLY! This news was hard to swallow seeing as how I not only make my living off
of wrestling, but more importantly because I LOVE this business, and
have sacrificed so much for the success I have gotten! I've been told to walk
away & give up. Well the fact of the matter is this; I HAVE
SUFFERED DEFEAT, PAIN, & LOSS! Still, I will push to the edge and NEVER
choke on failure! Today I start rehab on my leg and the long road
back to where I belong...IN THE RING!"
