I wish to tell you a story.
About three years ago, myself and David “DJ Hyde” Markland, decided to take a road trip. We drove down to Virginia and caught wind of a local wrestling show. We thought it would be fun to take in a local event so we purchased tickets and sat in the first row. Unfortunately, at that time in my life, I was a little full of myself and believed that I was God’s gift to wrestling. DJ and I jumped the
barricade and attacked the wrestlers.* We felt that the show was not
exciting enough and it needed us.
Hindsight is 20/20 as they say. That stunt had us banned from the state
of Virginia and a few other southern states. We laughed about it as we
never though that it would affect us. Fortunately Mr. Markland and I
have matured. We have met with many athletic commissions, regulatory
boards, and departments of state to clear both our own names and that
of Combat Zone Wrestling, LLC.
For the first time ever, CZW will travel across the Mason Dixon line to
share our ultraviolent gift with the Southern portion of the US. There
will be all of the usual excitement that CZW brings to the world famous Arena
each month combined with that "down home" hospitality. In fact, Nick Gage
has promised me personally that he will say “Please,” and, “Thank You,” while down South just to
help fit in. Mind you the context of that was, “Please let me kill that
fucking pussy, Jon Moxley,” and, “I promise to say ‘Thank you, Pussy’
when I take that belt from him.” I suppose I could purchase etiquette
lessons for Mr. Gage, but then I would probably have to pay.
