The Runaways Finally Get Their Shot!

As announced last night on the CZW Newsletter, The Runaways finally have a shot at the CZW World Tag Team Championship. The Runaways will get their shot at Azrieal and Bandido Jr. at the 13th Anniversary event from the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey on Saturday February 11th.

Since failing to capture the Tag Team Championship over one year ago, The Runaways have been on a warpath back to the top of the Tag Team Mountain. Having a rough start to 2011, things turned around for Gacy and Slater when the enlisted the service of Kimber Lee. Since that time they have proven their dominance. However, BLK OUT was their kryptonite when they defeated the duo at Cage of Death 13 to earn their title shot at An Excellent Adventure. But in the end, The Runaways laid claim to the Tag Team Championships when the cost BLK OUT the Championships and attempted to take out the current champions.

This war between BLK OUT and the Runaways has been a blessing in disguise for the current champions, Azrieal and Bandido Jr. It was at Tangled Web 4 where BLK OUT and the Runaways cost themselves at Tag Team Championship match when they were to upset at each other to pin The SET. From there it caused a chain of events that led to Azrieal and Bandido Jr. to the Tag Team Championships. Thus far, this same war has kept the championship around their waists as well. But how much longer will their luck last?
