It has been a few months now, but for some people it’s been an eternity. October 9, 2010 was a night that Scotty Vortekz will never forget. It was the night that his best friend, Drake Younger,
stabbed him in the back. On May 14, 2011, Vortekz gets his chance to
even the score when he steps into the ring with Drake Younger in a DOG COLLAR MATCH!
For those that have been following CZW, you have known about the friendship between Drake Younger and Scotty Vortekz. The two men seemingly bucked the traditions of wrestling. They did not care how they were supposed to be seen … No matter what a promoter asked of them, there was one thing that they wouldn’t do… Fight each other. These two men traveled to every single event together. They battled through the ranks together. They celebrated their triumphs, and mourned in their failures. But they never would raise their fists at each other.
October 9, 2010 is a night that will forever stick out in the mind of Scotty Vortekz. It was the night Drake Younger cowardly attacked Vortekz. Younger would later claim at Night of Infamy 9 that it was because he was the first man to sign an exclusivity contract with CZW and he was tired of carrying Vortekz. What is interesting to note is, since Younger’s betrayal of Vortekz… Younger has run away from Vortekz at every opportunity. Younger has only stepped into a combative situation when Vortekz was preoccupied or beaten down already. For a man who claims to be the face of CZW, he sure is scared of Vortekz. Surely, CZW’s past “faces” like John Zandig wouldn’t run away scared from a fight that he caused.
May 14th the running stops. If Younger chooses to run, he’ll have Vortekz chained right to him. This Dog Collar Match may be something the Combat Zone is not use to seeing, however it is as equal dangerous and brutal as any Ultraviolent Match that you’ve ever seen.
