The Top 10 of CZW – July, 2012
Wednesday, August 8, 2012 @ 07:51pm EDT

Each month, the staff at has been ranking the wrestlers of CZW based on their win-loss record, their place on the card, the crowd reaction they receive, any titles won or lost, and other intangible qualities that made that wrestler stick out from the pack.  Since its inception, this list has proved to be controversial; surely it will be very much the same this month.  Please remember, this list is not the official standings controlled by CZW Management.  Without further a due, this is the Top 10 of CZW for July, 2012.

CHAMPION – MASADA – Another month has gone by and again the Ultraviolent Beast stands a top the Combat Zone.  The International Deathmatch Superstar is clearly starting to realize his dominance, as at the conclusion of New Heights amongst the chaos he claimed that he alone rules CZW.  Quite frankly, many in this committee believe just that!

#1 – (4) – AR Fox – Fox jumps three spots to number one this month after he shocked the world.  First he answered MASADA’s challenge, and despite the weight class difference he was able to stand toe-to-toe.  After the loss to the Beast, Fox took his People’s Choice Award and traded it in for a CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship Match against the newly crowned Sami Callihan…  AND WON!  But can he keep the momentum going as he will be challenged by Alex Colon at Tangled Web 5?

#2 – (2) – Sami Callihan – Callihan’s ability has been questioned in the past when it comes to winning “the big matches.”  However, he silenced the critics when he went 60 minutes and defeated Drake Younger.  Unfortunately for Callihan he forgot one important rule…  Champions are Targets!  But Callihan seemingly is always one step ahead of the Combat Zone, and he plans to take it over with his group known as OI4K – Ohio Is For Killers!

#3 – (1) – Drake Younger – Despite losing, Younger should have no shame.  He went 60 Minutes with one of the top competitors in the Combat Zone.  Amongst the chaos, where does Younger stand?  What will be his next move?  The former Junior Heavyweight Champion has remained silent since losing the championship, and no one seems to know when… or if Younger plans to return to the Combat Zone after he has seemingly completed his checklist.

#4 – (3) – Dave Crist – The Wired TV Champion may be the wiliest competitor in all of CZW.  After waging war with his brother since debuting in 2011, he convinced Jake’s wife to convince Jake to rejoin the family.  Then, he somehow managed to get the support of Sami Callihan.  Granted the three men spent the early part of their careers together in Ohio, but one would thing no one could trust this snake…  It wouldn’t be the first time we were wrong here.  Nevertheless, Crist is still Wired TV Champion and has helped cause a crisis in the Combat Zone.  Unfortunately of Crist, his spot on the Top Ten may be in jeopardy as he has been suspended from action at Tangled Web 5.

#5 – (6) – Greg Excellent – The running theme this month seems to be the apparent anarchy within CZW.  If you thought Greg Excellent is innocent in all of this, you’re dead wrong.  If anything, Greg Excellent holds key to bringing peace in the Combat Zone.  He has still one wish left, this after using his second wish to help Matt Tremont get the match that many believe he deserves.  This came after Greg Excellent once again defeated DJ Hyde in a match.

#6 – (8) – Alex Colon – Colon may be the man to benefit the most from the chaos.  First, he was able to refuse a match.  Then, he was able to defeat a former World Champion.  Finally, he was awarded a Junior Heavyweight Championship match at Tangled Web 5.  The leader of 4Loco is clearly making moves in the Combat Zone.

#7 – (-) – Joe Gacy – The Chainsaw has seemingly been unstoppable since ridding himself of Ryan Slater.  After proving himself against 7 of the fast rising CZW Stars today, what’s next for the Walking Horror Movie?

#8 – (5) – Danny Havoc – Thanks to the underhanded tactics of 4Loco, Havoc finds himself falling on the Top Ten List.  As of press time, Havoc looks to being taking some time off from in ring action to lend moral support for Devon Moore and Lucky 13 who challenge 4Loco for the Tag Team Championship.  Or is this a strategy?  Find out at Tangled Web 5!

#9 – (7) – Matt Tremont – The moment is fast approaching…  Despite DJ Hyde believing he is nothing more than a “boy” in a “man’s world,” Tremont has pretty much stayed on this list for much of 2012.  Tremont now has a career making match in less than 3 days.  Can the Bulldozer finally silence his biggest critic?

#10 – (-) – Jake Crist – Talk about making a 180…  Jake Crist for some reason followed his brother and Sami Callihan into creating the chaos that now rules over the Combat Zone.  But because of that, Crist finds himself back on the Top Ten.

Honorable Mention – (-) Chrissy Rivera – Thanks to Chrissy Rivera, 4Loco won their respective matches.  Clearly she is someone opponents have to keep an eye on when they face a member of 4Loco!
Dropped Off The List:
(9) – Dustin Rayz –
Rayz falls off the list after suffering another set back, this time thanks to an injury to his hand.  But this may become a blessing in disguise, as the last time Rayz came back from injury he had a metal rod placed in his leg that he now uses to put down his opponents!
(10) – DJ Hyde – Hyde drops off the list just prior to the Tangled Web match.  There are a few reasons why…  He lost his last match…  He has seemingly lost control of his company…  And more importantly, many believe he may actually be afraid of “the boy” Matt Tremont.

Watch Out For:
Ruckus –
After being disrespected by his former Tag Team Partner, Alex Colon, one would have to believe Ruckus is out to get that respect back.

Joker – The Cambodian Axe Murderer shocked the world when he snatch the CZW World Championship out of MASADA’s hand and stood nose-to-nose with the Champion.  Joker is no joke.  He is a former Tag Team Champion, Ironman Champion, and Best of the Best Winner.  On top of that, Joker is a military veteran.  Basically what we are saying is…  Joker is the real deal.  He could be the first true threat to MASADA’s reign and streak!
