CZW Stars Invade EVOLVE’s Tribute To The Arena!
Monday, January 16, 2012 @ 04:41pm EST

As part of the possible final Deadly Doubleheader at the Asylum Arena, EVOLVE hosted a special “Tribute to the Arena” hosted by legendary commentator, Joey Styles.  Styles proceeded to welcome some of the Extreme Stars of the Arena’s past, including JT Smith, “Pitbull” Gary Wolf, and the Extreme Founder, Tod Gordon.

Gordon began to speak of how he and the Extreme Stars made this building their own.  However, it was not long before DJ Hyde led a troop of CZW stars and said that it's not Extreme Stars' “building anymore because CZW took it over and went beyond extreme and took it to ultraviolent. They ran more shows here than anyone, and if anyone's going to close this building,” it'll be them! The CZW stars surrounded the Extreme Stars but Balls Mahoney's music hit and he came out to clear the ring, but eventually got outnumbered and beaten down. “Natural Born Killaz” played and out came New Jack, who was previously banned from the building!  He came out with his trash can full of plunder and attempted to destroy the CZW army until Justin Credible came out with his trademark Singapore cane, but he turned on the Extreme Stars and laid New Jack out!  The CZW guys took control until Sabu came out to have the final match to ever take place in this legendary building!
However, it was CZW’s Junior Heavyweight Champion who shut the lights on the legendary building!  Sami Callihan ran out from the back and attacked Sabu from behind.   Callihan said “this is the alarm closing the book on the Arena.”  He said how he has been sick of the funerals, the Hardcore Homecomings, and wanted to know how many reunions they're going to have before this thing finally dies! If anyone was going to end the era of extreme, it was going to be him!  The extreme era has finally died and been put out of its misery by the Death Machine!  He then told them to hit the lights. The lights did go out and Callihan's music played, and when they come back up the ring was empty except for a destroyed table and a chair laying in the middle of the ring!
