CZWrestling.com has just learned that Mia Yim will NOT be at Proving Grounds this Saturday, May 14th. Instead Mia Yim will be representing CZW on a wrestling tour of Japan. After finding out that Yim was being forced to handcuff herself to Sami Callihan during the upcoming CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship Match between Adam Cole and A.R. Fox on May 14th, Cole and Yim contacted their attorneys to prevent this. After Callihan's actions at Best of the Best X, Yim's attorneys felt that it was not in her best interest to participate at Proving Grounds. Also due to Callihan's actions, CZW was left open to a possible lawsuit. However, Yim would be in breach of her contract should she not appear on May 14th. Last week, attorneys of both parties reached a settlement that allowed Mia Yim to represent CZW on a tour of Japan beginning later this week.
The theme for May 14th’s event should be quite obvious by now, it is a night where all the stars of the Combat Zone will gather to prove their worth going into the future. It’s anyone’s chance to become the face of the future of CZW. For two men, it is their chance to move closer towards earning a CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship match. On My 14th, Jake Crist returns to the Combat Zone to take on the resident Irishman, Ryan McBride.[more]
