A Matter of Respect

I would like to begin this piece by stating that the thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own and not that of my employer, Combat Zone Wrestling LLC. The bosses of CZW have graciously allowed me a place to voice my opinion on the state of the company as we approach TWELVE. 2010 saw a lot of positives. Among them, CZW expanded to new markets, forged new business relationships, and was the ONLY wrestling promotion to sell out the Asylum Arena. The beginning of 2011 has seen a step back. An incident occurred at our January event, From Small Beginnings Come Great Things, which enraged both the CZW fans and members of the CZW staff alike. I feel that by keeping quiet and not giving my thoughts on said incident, I would be neglecting an obligation to you, the CZW fans.

CZW on G4?

CZW has received thousands of emails about CZW footage that aired on G4 TV's Attack of the Show on Thursday evening. These emails have been fans asking CZW why G4 TV is only showing clips and not a whole CZW show and if G4 TV is planning on airing a CZW TV Show. For those fans, CZW encourages you to ask that question of G4 TV and NBC Universal! G4 executives have discussed the possibility of airing CZW related programming with CZW management in the past, however they are not convinced that CZW can be a viable television property. For fans who believe CZW should be on G4 TV, we encourage YOU to email them this weekend referencing Attack of the Show and G4 Underground as shows you enjoyed that featured CZW. Not Everyone Is Invited

At the last CZW Event, CZW Promoter, MAVEN BENTLEY, officially SUSPENDED THE RUNAWAYS (Joe Gacy and Ryan Slater) from the Combat Zone following their actions against tHURTeen. If you turned on G4 TV last night or have been on your computer over the last 24 hours, you can't escape the Runaways. Unfortunately for Maven Bentley, the Runaways have practically become the face of CZW because of this viral video. Rumors are now running rampant that Gacy and Slater are going to break suspension and crash the party next week! What state of mind will these two UNLIKELY internet sensations be in should they arrive to the ASYLUM ARENA on SATURDAY FEBRUARY 12TH? Are they angry this video got out there? We all will have to wait until next Saturday to find out.

CZW Goes Viral!

CZW would like to take the time now to thank its loyal fanbase on making CZW Footage the MOST watched on the internet! Early last month, footage from the NIGHT OF INFAMY 9 DVD leaked onto the internet. The footage? The semi-finals of the recent Tag Team Tournament, between the OSIRIAN PORTAL and THE RUNAWAYS. Thanks to the Osirian Portal hypnotizing The Runaways, Greg Excellent, Ty Hagen, and others from the CZW Locker room, CZW has now reached MILLIONS of people WORLDWIDE!
