Rest in Peace - Mike "Trent Acid" Verdi
11/12/1980 - 6/18/2010. It is with deep regret that CZW management has the unfortunate duty to report on the passing of one of it's own. Early this morning, Michael "Trent Acid" Verdi passed away in his home in South Philadelphia at the age of 29, just blocks away from the building where he helped revolutionize the business he so deeply loved. The entire extended CZW family is in mourning over the loss of one its true homegrown stars, and a man who was a friend to so many, both inside the business and out. We extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to his family and friends as they grieve for his loss.

CZW returned to the Arena this past weekend for "Lines in the Sand", and in the process provided a loaded night of CZW action in preparation for what is poised to be the most Ultraviolent Tournament of Death of all time. In a night full of major happenings, Ego Fantastico stole the show, pinning Chris Hero in his unsuccessful return to the Combat Zone, and putting himself front and center in CZW's loaded World Title scene. In addition, Nick Gage made a statement, defeating Jon Moxley in a non-title gauntlet match and shortly thereafter declaring war on Big Japan's Abdullah Kobayashi, whom he will face in the first round of June 26th's Tournament of Death 9.[more]

SABIAN has taken a more serious turn in recent months. Following the
official disbanding of the BLKOUT label following a defeat against 'The
Best Around' in a match that Ruckus himself was not present for, the
rivalry between the former CZW World Champ and the "Blk Jeez' has gone
from competitive, to very personal.[more]
