Earlier today, CZWrestling.com was made aware of new matches made official by CZW Officials. The second match confirmed earlier today will be a Wired Championship defense. AR Fox will once again defend the “Most Exciting Championship in Wrestling Today” against the formidable Rich Swann. This match will happen in just three weeks time at CZW’s 14th Anniversary celebration on February 9th.
AR Fox is hot off his spectacular title defense at Ascension against Lucky 13. Many are beginning to believe the AR Fox has finally hit his stride in the Combat Zone. Those same people are beginning to wonder who can slow down the Whole Foxxin’ Show, as he has remained undefeated ever since capturing the former CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship at New Heights last summer. Fox’s streak can’t come at a better time. As traditional has it, the period following Cage of Death has become known as Best of the Best season. The top junior heavyweights flock to the Combat Zone this time of year to make their claim at a spot in the prestigious tournament, and this year is obviously no different.
Because of Fox’s Wired Championship status, he is this year’s bull’s eye. Rich Swann is coming off a huge victory at Cage of Death 14 against Shane Strickland. What a way for Swann to kick off his new year in the Combat Zone than claiming the Wired Championship. If Swann were to do just that, it would instantly shoot him to the top of consideration for this year’s Best of the Best 12.
