The Top 10 of CZW – March, 2013
Monday, March 18, 2013 @ 07:18am EDT

Each month, the staff at has been ranking the wrestlers of CZW based on their win-loss record, their place on the card, the crowd reaction they receive, any titles won or lost, and other intangible qualities that made that wrestler stick out from the pack.  Since its inception, this list has proved to be controversial; surely it will be very much the same this month.  Please remember, this list is not the official standings controlled by CZW Management.  Without further a due, this is the Top 10 of CZW for March, 2013!

What more can be said that hasn’t?  With MASADA’s victory at Wanted, his championship reign hit its first birthday.  With MASADA defeating everyone the United States has to offer for the time being, CZW Officials are bringing over someone equally as ultraviolent…  BJW’s Jun Kasai!  At WrestleCon on April 5th, these two ultraviolent athletes will showcase what it means to be ultraviolent!

#1 – (1) – AR Fox – CZW’s resident superman heads into April 13th’s Best of the Best XII as Wired TV Champion.  But before that, this aerial artist has the chance to showcase his skills in the Aerial Assault spectacular.  Clearly, AR Fox goes into both events as a clear favorite…  Especially considering how he made it to last year’s finals.

#2 – (2) – Sami Callihan – The CZW audience feels that Callihan is the top in-ring competitor in the world today.  But Adam Cole, he feels Callihan will be nothing more than second best.  On April 13th, Callihan has one last chance to prove that he is the best when he battles the Panama City Playboy.  But first, Callihan step up against one of the top free agents…  THE Brian Kendrick.

#3 – (3) – Adam Cole –
We all know how highly Cole thinks of himself, but many wonder how he feels he’s the best.  Cole hasn’t had the best of luck…  First he was jackknifed into fecal matter, then he was forced to tapout to the Stretch Muffler, finally he was caned…  All by Callihan.  But remember, Cole has gotten the best of Callihan in big time matches.  So the match between the two men at Best of the Best XII will finally lay the question to rest FOREVER!

#4 – (4) – Matt Tremont –
Unfortunately for the Bulldozer, he couldn’t achieve his second dream of becoming CZW World Champion.  Of course, that wasn’t for a lack of trying.  Because of Joe Gacy, Tremont failed to become Champion.  Seems to be a running theme for Tremont’s “failures” over the last few months…  Gacy always seems to be the cause of them.  But nevertheless, Tremont’s heart is the real reason for his successes.

#5 – (6) – Danny Havoc – Havoc continues to make a name for himself in the Land of the Rising Sun.  Rumor has it that some Havoc and Drake Younger had some sort of confrontation during their stay in Japan, CZW Officials are awaiting video footage of this event from BJW Officials.  But one has to believe it is over Younger’s role in the Nation of Intoxication’s loss of the Tag Team Championships.

#6 – (5) – Drake Younger –
Like Havoc, Younger continues to make the Combat Zone proud with his continuous tours of Big Japan Wrestling.  As mentioned above, some wonder where Younger’s head was at when he interjected himself in last month’s Tag Team Championship Match.  The rumored video footage from BJW should offer more.

#7 – (10) – Shane Strickland – At one time, many thought that Strickland didn’t have want it takes to be a member of the CZW Roster.  Now, Strickland makes his first appearance into Best of the Best.  The New Flavor continues to impress with each outing, and this month was no different.

#8 – (-) – Pepper Parks – The fitness guru continues to irritate the audience each passing month.  Like it or not, the one thing Pepper Parks can do is back up every word he says.  There is one question, what exactly does Parks have planned for WrestleCon on April 5th?

#9 – (-) – DJ Hyde – The boss was disappointed that he was not chosen to face off against Callihan.  Clearly he was disappointed in his top student.  What does this mean going forward for the owner of CZW?

#10 – (-) – Joe Gacy – The Chainsaw seems to know how to keep himself in people’s minds.  Sure he didn’t win the World Championship, but Gacy made sure Tremont didn’t.  Much like what happened after Tangled Web, Gacy and Tremont brawled to the back.

Honorable Mention – (-) Alex Reynolds – Alex Reynolds is quickly starting to make a name for himself inside the black and yellow ring.  After defeating three of CZW’s top stars, Reynolds finds himself qualified for Best of the Best XII.
Dropped Off The List:
(7 & 8) – OI4K – Seems like BLK OUT has gotten into the minds of OI4K, despite all their successes in recent months.  These two need to remain focused heading into their match with the Sumerian Death Squad on April 5th.
(9) – Lucky 13 – Like OI4K, Lucky’s decline is at the hands of BLK OUT as well.  But at the same time Lucky is quickly becoming the Nation’s lucky charm, as he is the reason for both Tag Team Championship reigns.

Watch Out For:
Brian Kendrick –
At Wanted, it was announced the Kendrick is making his CZW debut at WrestleCon against Sami Callihan.  This match goes down just one week prior to Callihan’s final encounter against Adam Cole.  Kendrick has a reputation to defend at WrestleCon, he is in a must win situation.  Kendrick could completely alter the course of history with a win over the Callihan Death Machine.

Tommy Dreamer – Dreamer has arrived in the Combat Zone.  His influence in professional wrestling has been well documented.  Now that he is a permanent member of the Combat Zone, Dreamer could be looking for that one last moment of glory…  Even if it is at the expense of CZW’s favorite stars.

Jun Kasai – Kasai is considered the top deathmatch wrestler in Japan, and he is coming back to the Combat Zone.  Kasai has already held CZW gold once.  What a coup would it be for him to not only win the CZW World Championship, but to do so by pinning a man who hasn’t been pinned in a CZW ring in nearly two years?!  With Kasai’s career starting to wind down, this could be the last chance to see the Crazy Monkey on American soil.  Kasai has a lot to prove when he returns at WrestleCon.
