What has been the story of the championship reign of MASADA is the fact that he has continuously called for challengers. Man after man has stepped up in an attempt to pin the Ultraviolent Beast for the first time in 16 months and take the CZW World Championship away. Yet every man has failed to accomplish that feat. Just as the world thought there are not any more worthy challengers, emerging from near obscurity is the legendary Necro Butcher! Announced last night via social media, MASADA will defend the CZW World Championship against the returning Necro Butcher NEXT Saturday at Cerebral!
The Combat Zone hasn’t heard or seen the world renowned Necro Butcher since November 5, 2011. One cannot blame this Ultraviolent Hero from laying low. Butcher has competed in some of the most sadistic matches ever to take place at a wrestling event in history. One cannot discount the challenge he brings. Necro Butcher, like MASADA, has held the now retired Ultraviolent Underground Championship and won Tournament of Death IV in 2005. What makes this man a scary challenger is his very unorthodox fighting style. He truly is a mad man that will do absolutely anything to be victorious… That is when there ISN’T a championship up for grabs! You can view old footage featuring the chaos now at HybridENT.tv.
Even though Necro Butcher hasn’t been seen or heard from in quite some time, which only makes him more dangerous. It was clear in his last few outings that he needed some time to heal after years of ultraviolent contests. Now that he has had a year of rest, he could very well be the man to dethrone the current CZW World Champion.
Then again… MASADA, like Butcher, truly isn’t your “typical wrestler.” Every time it seems as though the odds are against MASADA, he walks away with another victory. MASADA clearly knows how to win matches. There is a reason why he is hailed as the Ultraviolent Beast, he is just that… A BEAST! No matter what style of competitor he faces, he knows how to adapt to that style and be better. If Necro Butcher defined what it meant to be an Ultraviolent Athlete in the early 2000s, then MASADA redefined in over the course of the last year.
This will most definitely be a match that NO ONE will want to miss. It is sure to be an Ultraviolent Encounter of EPIC proportions! And the only way to see this match is LIVE and IN PERSON on Saturday October 13th at 7:30 PM.
