It has not been a good campaign season for Drew Gulak. Shortly after announcing its newest member, Kimber Lee, the Campaign has been struck with one set back after another. But Drew Gulak has vowed to forge ahead with his message. Next Saturday at Cerebral, Gulak will be out to avenge the fallen Mr. Tofiga when he faces the Latin Dragon.
The first two set backs occurred at Down With The Sickness. The first being that Dewey Donovan collapsed at ringside during Gulak’s Intergender Tag Team contest with Kimber Lee against Greg Excellent and Mia Yim. Shortly thereafter, Alexander James also suffered an injury. The injury to James was enough to remove Mr. Tofiga and Alexander James out of their scheduled Tag Team Championship contest with the Nation of Intoxication.
Just as it seemed things couldn’t get worse for the Campaign, Mr. Tofiga competed in the highly dangerous Ultraviolent Underground at Redemption. It was during that match that Mr. Tofiga took a slight misstep and injured his quadriceps tendon in his left leg during his match with Latin Dragon. At last update, Tofiga has not gone through surgery as the new diagnosis is a partial quadriceps tear. Either way, Tofiga has been shelved for the immediate future.
Gulak is now down to his Director of Women’s Suffrage, Kimber Lee. Gulak has remained relatively quiet in the last few weeks amidst all the set backs. But it is known that he cannot wait to step into the ring with Latin Dragon and avenge his fallen enforcer, Mr. Tofiga.
Find out how the Campaign regroups by joining the Combat Zone LIVE and IN PERSON on Saturday October 13th at 7:30 PM for Cerebral.
